Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has affected people across the world. Regulations were put in order for everyone to stay at home and social distance away from other people. Many things such as working and going to school all had to start being done remotely from home since the virus was spreading quickly. Schools also began holding classes online.
Here are some of the top 10 trends that will redefine a post COVID-19 world:
Since everyone is told to stay home, meetings in person would also have to be cancelled. However, an alternative would be to hold meetings online virtually. Platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet have been the most used platforms out there since social distancing was put in order. This is one of the many options for people who want to continue with meetings for work or school, and allows face-to-face conversation as you would normally have in an in-person meeting. This would most likely continue in a post COVID-19 world, especially as people proceed to social distance.
Every school and college out there are all holding classes online due to COVID-19. Many of which are conducting online meetings on various platforms. Assignments and tests given to students are also being assigned online through mobile phones and computers. A lot of the assignments that are given to students are mostly through a platform called Google Classroom, which is essential for learning and connecting with students and teachers online.
The next generation network called 5G is also something that can be essential, especially if one needs higher and faster speed network. With almost everything being done online, developing 5G and releasing it out into the world improves working remotely more conveniently and gets work done faster than to have a slower network connection. 5G i is seen to have a big impact when it comes to communication solutions in the future. These systems can help networks make decisions to improve the experience of the user.
Due to having a huge amount of data being transmitted, mobile operators need to find a way to support this amount of data. Because ramping up physical infrastructure is expensive, many operators would opt for visualization to reduce the capes and opex. Besides that, visualization also helps to provide better technology to manage the network.
Because of COVID-19, many jobs were lost. However, the migrant population allows a 24-hour internet connection. It also increases a higher demand for high-speed internet connection in rural areas.
The use of “smart” devices are increasing, and even after a post-COVID-19 world, it will
continue to increase even more. For instance, we may start seeing more “smart” refrigerators and many more that would need to be connected to the internet. This would also need frequent software updates, which means that companies could use 5G broadcast to do so.
Remote sensors and monitoring solutions is rapidly increasing. Many remote areas such as agricultural fields, oil rigs, remote factories, warehouses, and more can have sensors and monitors installed. These sensors allow remote areas to be controlled and monitored from a central location.
Finally, there are numerous places across the country that has poor mobile network connection. With satellite based asset tracking solutions, one can send and receive data from a location.
These trends are seen to play a huge role in a post COVID-19 world.
