Machine learning has been in our world for years! Many advancements have been made to machine
learning to improve efficiency, quickness, and dependability. Advancements have been made to
algorithms, computing, and statistical modeling. However, we have only been introduced to the
beginning of these innovations. There is much to come and what we have witnessed is nowhere near
the end.
Many workplaces and businesses are looking for quicker and cheaper machines. They want to be able to use machine learning on a bigger scale. Researchers are also looking for machines that can work with less data and examples. Getting data to input in machines can be costly and consume a lot of time.
Methods of machines using less data to complete tasks are being investigated right now.
Researchers are also investigating ways for deeper personalization in machine learning. Machine
learning has received the reputation of taking away human expression, however, what if there was a
way to personalize tasks and ideas to a human’s perspective?
Machine learning is affecting all our lives. One of these major ways are through our mobile devices.
Machine learning is advancing through object recognition, speech, and detection of faces through local mobile devices. Machine learning is able to do this through neural networks running through our
phones. Researchers still do not completely understand how machine learning interacts with neural
networks. In the future, we could expect more understanding of these networks. When we finally get to this point, many innovations could potentially be made to our technology.
Machine learning can also develop greater communication around the world. Especially during the
COVID-19 pandemic, machine learning and AI has been used to spread information, data, and protocols around the world to keep people safe. We can expect that machine learning will be used for greater communication. This could be around the world, locally, or politically. One way this could develop communication locally could be through businesses. We could potentially see automated customer service which would be used instead of human customer service.
Machine learning has more potential we can imagine. Researchers are constantly finding more ways to
improve this technology. What we are experiencing is only the beginning.
